Jay Crisp

Ask the students about Mr. Crisp and they'll tell you he loves history, sings loud at church, and tells really bad jokes (bad jokes are better than no jokes!).  Mr. Crisp is an IU graduate with over 15 years of teaching experience.  This will be his 8th year at St. John's. He has a passion for American history that he tries to share with his students. He doesn't expect his students to memorize many dates, but he does expect them to pay attention and work hard in class. The important question in Social Studies isn't when did something happen, but why did it happen.

Mr. Crisp has been awarded the "Light of Learning" Award by the Diocese. This year he was listed in Who's who among American Teachers. 

Mr. Crisp is married and has 3 children: Jonathon, Rachel, Andrew "AJ".
